One the eve of Suz's birthday, I can't help but think about the year Suz was living in VA and decided we should all come down and go tubing for a big celebration. She forgot to mention that the tubing place was in WEST Virginia... waaay into West Virginia. Suz led all of us city folks about 3 hours into the back country; we were all terrified and thought we'd be devoured by wild animals or the like. But we got there, and had a great time. Our Suz was fearless (or clueless, we weren't sure ;). She's a gift that you guys gave to us, and she still makes me laugh out loud. Love, Christina

To Mama Munson, Mr. Munson, and John, Thank you for the gift of Suzanne. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about her and miss her. Looking at her baby pictures, I cannot imagine how much you loved this beautiful, beaming, pig-tailed little girl. You could see her personality even as an infant; she always had that incredible, genuine, happy smile. Nothing made her happier than her family, and she would be so proud of how you all are doing. She’ be so happy too that we get together regularly in Lakeland and New York. Actually, at first she would be jealous that she was missing out on all the fun, but then she’d be happy. Suz made sure you had surrogate daughters and sisters and that we had an extended family in Florida. We love you and are thinking of you always. Happy Birthday, Suz! Love, Carolyn

Fran, Peter, John, For what it's worth, all of us out here think of suz everyday. She still brings so much joy-- through memories, pictures, silly jokes and old letters she wrote over the years. I hope we can always share our Suz-stories. And, thank you, Carolyn and all FriendsofSuz who put this website together. It's fantastic. so much love to all, Leslie

Thank you for creating this site for all of us who think about and miss Suz everyday. It is a comfort to be able to see pictures, read other people's memories and have a place to share my memories with all of you. Most importantly it allows all of us who love her to stay in touch with one another. That is the best tribute to Suz since one of her many incredible qualities was the effort she made to stay in touch with all of her friends. She never let school or her work or in the end her illness stop her from picking up the phone and calling just to say "hi." On her birthday this year I was traveling in Turkey. I was hiking on a little island off the coast of Istanbul. I came upon the most beautiful little church (Hagia Yorgi). I lit a candle for Suzanne and said a prayer for her and her family. I felt such a sense of peace. She will live on forever in all of our hearts!

My LuLu It has been 4 years today....I miss you more than ever...you are always on my mind and in my heart ..I thank God for the time I had you.
